This year we celebrate our retirees and congratulate leaders assuming new roles. In April, Bob Galteland, PE (President) and Ken Andersen, PE, SE (Executive Vice President) will be retiring from Reid Middleton. With Bob’s 35 years and Ken’s 27 years of unwavering commitment to the firm’s mission, their legacies will continue to shape our values and vision.
At the same time, the firm is pleased to announce that Corbin Hammer, PE, SE, will become the new President, and Paul Crocker, PE, SE, will step into a new role as Chief Operating Officer. Paul and Corbin became Co-Directors of our Structural Engineering Group in 2018 and have been members of Reid Middleton’s Board of Directors since 2017 and 2019, respectively. They bring extensive experience and valuable perspectives to the executive team. We are excited to see them build upon the success of Bob and Ken’s leadership.
Corbin Hammer, PE, SE joined in 2002. He started his engineering career in our Structural Engineering Group as an intern. His contributions and leadership exemplify Reid Middleton’s mission to provide staff opportunities for growth and a rewarding career – setting an example for future generations.
Paul Crocker, PE, SE joined in 2004 with a strong background in structural engineering. His leadership, supported by strong organizational and technical skills, contributed to becoming Co-Director of the Structural Group in 2018. With his talents, Paul will excel as COO for Reid Middleton.
Bob Galteland, PE joined Reid Middleton in 1991, and became Reid Middleton’s 4th President in 2007. His understanding of the design and construction process for military agencies has been integral to building our robust federal practice. In retirement, you might catch him touring the U.S. towing his 5th-wheel camper, entertaining one of his 6 grandkids, or enjoying fresh tracks at a local ski resort.
Ken Andersen, PE, SE joined in 1998, and grew the firm’s presence in Alaska before returning to the Everett office in 2016. He became the firm’s Executive Vice President in 2020. As suspected by family and friends, Ken hopes to continue working in retirement — but as a golf course marshal. Maybe he’ll finally learn the guitar or a foreign language, activities that he never found the time to even start. His loyal black lab, Kona, is looking forward to more walks and hikes.

Erik Bishop, PE, SE has been promoted to Principal. Erik joined in 2009. Erik continues to champion Reid Middleton’s seismic resiliency and advocacy efforts, leading numerous Seismic Evaluation, Upgrade, and Response Plan projects for federal/military, private, and healthcare clients.
