Anchorage Earthquake Response

Reid Middleton’s Anchorage staff jumped into action following the M7 earthquake in late 2018. They performed rapid and detailed structural assessment of more than 60 buildings in the first few days for many of our term contract clients and other emergency calls, and over 120 additional evaluations in the following weeks for everyone from the Anchorage School District to Office Depot to Safeway. The observations from the real-world performance of structures following a seismic event is being shared throughout our firm and with our clients to help improve seismic resilience throughout our communities.
