Reid Middleton Structural Engineer, David Swanson, is heading up an effort by the Structural Engineers Association of Washington to form a reconnaissance team to investigate the M9.0 Great East Japan (Tohoku) Earthquake and Tsunami. The 10-member earthquake reconnaissance team will be made up of engineers, researchers, and public officials from Washington State and Japan. The team is seeking a government invitation to travel to Japan to investigate the earthquake and tsunami impacts to communities.
