Healing the ones who served. Reid Middleton provided structural engineering for a new, 16,000 SF clinic. As a critical care facility, the new building was designed to better provide outpatient primary care and specialty health services, including laboratory services, mental health care, and social work. The clinic now has Wi-Fi to go with spacious exam rooms, and the clinic’s staff of some 50 people also has three teleconference rooms so patients don’t have to come into the clinic to receive care. Reid Middleton designed the building to meet the Department of Veteran Affair’s elevated seismic design requirements, while incorporating the exposed structure into the open architecture of the lobby. This new building in Silverdale provides veterans in the region with local access to healthcare services in a modern clinic facility.
