A quality ALTA survey is a critical part of commercial real-estate transactions.
A time to take stock. As the private, nonprofit Swedish Medical Center prepared to take over management of the 217-bed Stevens Memorial hospital, it hired Reid Middleton’s survey group to perform an ALTA (American Land Title Association) boundary survey of the main hospital, oncology and Radia Imaging buildings. Survey elements included recording improvements, easements, rights-of-way and other elements impacting land ownership. Detailed topographic and boundary surveys of the 30-acre site encompassed mapping of underground water lines and other utilities. Under Swedish’s management, the medical center has made a number of improvements to the property, including the addition of the new Swedish Cancer Institute facility.
