Upgraded to be more accessible and safer moving forward.
Onward and Outward. Showalter Middle School needed a bigger facility to accommodate their growing number of students and staff. Our team expanded several regions of the school, including the main entrance, gym, common area, and added a new two-story classroom. Additionally, the large existing canopy at the main entrance was enclosed to create a more secure vestibule for students to enter and leave the building. We performed seismic assessments, and thickened the existing common exterior wall to provide added seismic capacity for the loads associated with the new structure. Now, Showalter Middle School is a bigger and safer environment for students to continue to learn, play, and grow.
