Making the Most of the Multipurpose Room. Reid Middleton provided the structural engineering for the multipurpose addition to the Bethel High School. This is a 3,600 square foot facility that houses a multipurpose room, kitchen, and mechanical space. It is supported on helical piles with thermoprobes and is a steel brace framed structure with SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) floors and walls, and metal roof deck. Some interesting features include an elevated roof area with clerestory as well as a retractable stage for more versatility of the space.
