Double-checking code compliance for new construction. The City of Bellevue needed a consultant to help determine whether proposed building projects in the City were code-compliant before owners were issued permits and construction started. Plan reviews are an important part of keeping the public safe through review of engineering drawings and calculations of other designers by an experienced and professionally-licensed third-party engineer. Under a plan check on-call contract, Reid Middleton performed structural and code compliance reviews for a dozens of commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, site development, and mixed-use projects. Reid Middleton has held this contract almost continuously since 1998.
