Boat Haven Marina Renovation, Port of Port Angeles
Port Angeles, WA
A master planning effort for renovation and upgrade of the aging Boat Haven Marina facility in Port Angeles, Washington was led by Reid Middleton. The initial project phase required a feasibility study, analysis of existing facilities and land uses, a description of proposed alternatives, a demand analysis, and a menu for redevelopment. Reid Middleton also assisted with presentations to the port's advisory committee and made presentations to port commissioners. Phase II documentation was subsequently prepared based upon recommendations of the advisory committee.
Upon completion of Reid Middleton’s master planning project for Boat Haven, we continued our services to the Port of Port Angeles by performing the permitting, design , and construction administration services for the renovation of the facility. Project elements included new concrete floats with full utilities, new access piers and gangways, and other amenities. The project replaced deteriorated timber floats with a new concrete float system and modern utilities serving recreational, commercial, and megayacht customers.
