Hickel House Long-Term Stay Facility, Providence Alaska Medical Center
Anchorage, AK
The Hickel House affords the families of long-term recovering patients a place to call home on the Providence Alaska campus. Reid Middleton provided structural engineering design for this three-story, 31,000 square-foot wood-framed building that provides on-site lodging for the families of recovering patients. The facility includes a large dining and kitchen area, exercise and game rooms, and 40 guest rooms. Sited on the campus within walking distance from the entrance to the hospital, residents of Hickel House are able to be with their loved ones during often lengthy periods of convalescence.
