In cooperation with Alaska Pacific University, University of Alaska Anchorage recognized the need for a larger library on the Anchorage campus and sought a signature building that embraced modern architecture and enhanced technology.

The University also saw a need for a unique facility that supported Alaska's natives enrolled in the natural sciences and engineering curriculum.

Need

Design a 126,000-square-foot addition for the library and a 13,000-square-foot facility for Alaska native students.
