Structural engineering services were provided by Reid Middleton for the structural review and repairs to 13 3-story, 6-unit apartment buildings for Cedar Rim Apartments. The wood-framed buildings include wooden bridges leading to the sloped parking area. The project began with repairs to the bridges and decks, however, decay was soon found in the structure of the buildings themselves. Reid Middleton created a repair plan that allowed for partial occupancy of the buildings during the upgrades. After the project was completed, Reid Middleton was invited back to provide a design for a recreational shelter structure and barbeque area to further enhance the apartments.
